“Against the Tide” was a bimonthly storytelling series created by Cat Cutillo while she was the staff photographer at the Half Moon Bay Review. The series appeared in Half Moon Bay Magazine and Pacifica Magazine and was told through writing and photography. It featured locals living on the San Mateo County Coastside in California, an area that stretches from Pacifica to the Santa Cruz County line and encompasses Half Moon Bay, Montara, Moss Beach, El Granada, San Gregorio, La Honda and Pescadero.
