Cat has spent the past decade producing films, often as a one-woman production. Her services include videography, video editing, script writing, voice over, interviewing and so much more. She’s created films in all documentary facets. Her clients have included places like University of Vermont’s Larner College of Medicine, Seven Days and Chittenden Area Transportation Management (CATMA). Her videography and interviewing has appeared on CBS Evening News and on the websites of People Magazine and Buzzfeed. Her multimedia series ‘Vermont Visionaries’ airs regularly on Vermont’s CBS affiliate, WCAX-TV. Cat earned her Master’s of Arts degree in Multimedia Communications from Academy of Art University in San Francisco where she concentrated on video journalism and documentary storytelling.

    Matthew Schlein founded Walden Project and Willowell Foundation in the same breath 21 years ago in Monkton, VT, after teaching at Vergennes Union High School for 6 years. Walden Project is an outdoor alternative public education program that takes place on the 230-acrea Willowell preserve in Monkton. Modeled on Henry David Thoreau’s book ‘Walden’ and the author’s two-year moved to Walden Pond, educator Matthew Schlein begins every morning reading a passage from Thoreau.     With Mother’s Day coming up, let’s shine the spotlight on Williston, VT, resident Theresa Tomasi who is the mother of 27 children. At 91, she broke through many adoption barriers in the early 60’s adopting as a single woman and more barriers in the 70’s 80’s and 90’s adopting as an older parent. The kids grew up on 50 acres of land in the heart of a suburban neighborhood in Williston with horses, mini horses, pigs, chickens, and even peacocks. They helped care for the animals and each other.     Burlington High School Moves into Former Macy's

    After a $3.5-million renovation, students will attend classes in a former Macy's department store in downtown Burlington, Vt. The discovery of airborne cancer-causing chemicals forced the closure of the school's main campus, off North Avenue. Cat produced, filmed and edited this video for Seven Days which went viral. It had more than 39,000 views and appeared on the websites of People Magazine, Buzzfeed, Curbed, Daily Mail, Slate Magazine, Nerdist, Yahoo!, AOL, NowThis, Bored Panda and Bloomberg Quicktake.

CBS Evening News created a story for ‘The Uplift’ using Cat’s videography, interviews and still photography. Cat spent several months filming Lou Pioli in Vermont as the 99-year-old veteran recounted his life stories on video noting that his one regret was not finishing his college degree due to his service in WWII. Incredibly, the story commenced with Lou being presented with a college degree.
